When it concerns your health, your medical career or your rights as a patient, trust is not declared. It is built — through competence, transparency and the care given to every case. Here is who we are and how we work.
Since 2022, Infuero has supported entrepreneurs and SME leaders with a straightforward conviction: legal services should be clear, predictable and accessible. We now apply that conviction to medical law.
Not because it is a market opportunity. Because patients and healthcare professionals experience the same frustrations as business owners facing traditional legal services: opaque pricing, impenetrable jargon and the feeling of not being heard.
Our medical law practice was born from that observation. It is led by a lawyer whose dedication to health law goes back to her university years. It is backed by a firm whose values and methods have already transformed the legal experience of hundreds of business owners.
Medical law is not a recent pivot in Chiara Panetta's career. It is a thread that runs through it.
In 2019, while completing her law degree at the Université de Lorraine, she chose to dedicate an entire year to an inter-university diploma in medical law at the Université de Nancy — graduating with distinction. This was not an elective. It was a deliberate choice: to develop a deep understanding of medical liability, patient rights and the legal dimensions of healthcare.
That same year, she joined Groupe SOS Santé as a legal trainee — her first immersion in the day-to-day reality of a healthcare organisation navigating employment law and health regulations. The following year, she completed a Master's degree in liability and compensation law in Metz — the technical specialisation that equips a lawyer to quantify injury, structure a compensation claim and argue before the courts.
Admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2021, Chiara practised in several Luxembourg law firms, building her expertise in civil litigation, liability and family law. Years of practice that sharpened her rigour and her command of Luxembourg's judicial system.
By joining Infuero to lead the medical law practice, she brings together her two convictions: deep expertise in health law and a way of practising law that puts the client at the centre — without jargon, without opacity, without distance.
Some of these values come from Infuero. Others are born from the specific demands of medical law. All are non-negotiable.
What the firm has stood for since its founding — and what the medical law practice fully embraces.
Our fees are stated before you commit. Fixed fees for professional defence, retainer plus percentage of the outcome for personal injury, detailed quote for every engagement. Medical law is already a source of stress — the bill should not be another.
Medical law is one of the most technical areas of law. That is no reason to lose you in jargon. We explain every step, every issue, every decision in language you understand — whether you are a patient with no legal background or a doctor facing the disciplinary system for the first time.
An allegation does not wait. Neither does a data breach. You call, your lawyer answers. No screening, no callback "early next week". Medical law has its emergencies — we treat them as such.
Your file is accessible on your secure client portal. Documents, communications, progress, costs incurred: you always know where things stand. Because not knowing what is happening with your case is almost as distressing as the case itself.
What the specific nature of health law demands on top.
A patient who has suffered a medical error does not come "with a case". They come with pain, confusion, sometimes anger. A doctor facing allegations does not come "with a legal problem". They come with anxiety about their career. Before we are lawyers, we listen.
Medical law does not tolerate approximation. Every argument must rest on verified medical facts, every expert examination must be meticulously prepared, every injury assessment must withstand adversarial scrutiny. Rigour is not optional — it is the foundation of every case won.
Every lawyer is bound by professional secrecy. In medical law, confidentiality goes further. Your health data, your dispute with a healthcare professional, ongoing disciplinary proceedings — in Luxembourg, word travels fast. We take additional precautions in how we manage your information.
We will never take on a case to bill fees on a lost cause. If your case is strong, we tell you and we fight. If it is weak, we tell you that too — and we work together to find the best path, which is not always the courtroom.
Infuero was founded by an entrepreneur turned lawyer, with the conviction that legal services should serve those they support — not the other way round. That conviction produced a firm that operates differently: fixed pricing, direct communication, modern tools, a relentless focus on concrete results.
The medical law practice inherits that culture. Chiara Panetta did not join Infuero by chance. She joined because the way Infuero practises law matches what patients and healthcare professionals need: clarity in an opaque field, predictability in a moment of uncertainty, and a lawyer who takes the time to understand before acting.
Our business clients have trusted us since 2022. Our medical law practice is building that same trust, case by case, with the same standard.
Trust begins with a conversation. Get in touch for an initial discussion about your situation — we respond within 24 hours.
